Coach Legacy
Coach Legacy

Coach Legacy

NOTES (as listed on coach.com): a unique blend of soft florals combined with amber, vanilla and precious woods

CLASSIFICATION: floral, feminine

AGE GROUP: perfect for any age / mature

SIMILAR SCENT(s): DKNY Be Delicious Fresh Blossom

FORM: eau de parfum

Coach Legacy is definitely a feminine-smelling floral scent; if you’re anti-woods or anti-amber, you need not worry about either of those notes being overly dominant. The first smell is a bit stronger and more dramatic, which is to be expected. Once the fragrance began to settle in and dry, I became slightly disappointed with the remnants of what seemed to be a promising, strong (but not overbearing) floral.

That’s not to say that I was disappointed with the scent itself. Coach Legacy is a very non-offensive, soft, flowery perfume – perhaps a bit TOO soft. Don’t get me wrong, I’m all for a light, airy perfume and definitely prefer that type over the grab-your-throat-and-choke-you strong perfumes, but in this case perhaps it’s too much of a good thing. Too much airiness, that is, which in turn makes the scent a bit too light for my taste. This could also be contributed to the amount that I’m actually wearing, so please don’t let this be a deal breaker for you if you were otherwise interested so far.

The scent reminds me of any generic (meaning, I can’t quite place my finger on a particular brand, and I have a feeling it’s because there are several that share a similar fragrance) feminine body lotion or hand cream. Not a bad smell whatsoever, but very hard to describe in detail, and just as hard to rant (or rave) about. It reminds me of the smell of my Grandmother’s hand lotion from Avon. A delightful smell, but not all that unique and not all that complex so as to feel the need to go on and on describing it or trying to pin point this note or that.

I would definitely try and/or wear Coach Legacy again, but it is generally not a fragrance that I care to purchase or add to my rotation. While I do enjoy a good floral, and this isn’t a bad perfume, it’s not a unique enough floral perfume, to me at least, to make an effort to like it. Don’t get me wrong – I didn’t dislike it, and it certainly is pleasant, but it’s not exactly the most noticeable or original perfume on the market. This isn’t a bad thing, depending on your taste and what exactly you’re looking for in a perfume.

A lovely scent indeed, but I definitely recommend sampling this first (do not blindly buy!).  While it is a floral fragrance, even if you’re a lover of flower scents,  this may not be what you’re looking for.  However, if you are seeking a very light, pleasant floral blend, I would definitely recommend giving it a sniff.

I tried this one today(it came on magazine…vogue or glamour..can’t quite remember)
And it reminds me a lot of a perfume that I use to wear when I was younger Freedom(Tommy hilfiger)!

It’s very nice, but definitely not my type!
Thanks for the review!

Ooh, very classic “COACH” look.
The canister could look like a bigger sized version of a metal tag or keychain attached to one of the bags!

Coach isn’t my type of style, but I must admit I have many Coach bags but they’re more plain and simple I’m not too fond of the “c’s”. I was introduced to this sent from Glamour magazine and I absolutely fell in love. One day I had a dream that I had bought it so when I woke up I told my dad what I dreamt so he took me shopping I bought it and it smelled even better in person it truly is a beautiful smell for a beautiful girl.

I would recommend this fragrance if you’re a floral type of girl.

I’m more oriental I like my Vera Wang Princess, and my Estee Lauders, along with Diors etc.

This fragrance has truly stolen the threads of my heart it’s romantic.

By the way Chanel has a new mascara called Exceptionnel I have it it works wonders on long lashes.
