Candies For Women

Candies For Women

NOTES (as listed on fragrancenet.com): citrus and lavender, with floral middle notes of peony and ylang-ylang.

Candies perfume has always intrigued me, since their trendily young, sexy ad campaign years ago, which I remembered vividly when I decided to add this mini to my online shopping cart recently. From the notes, the marketing, the bottle, and some of the other reviews I had read, I was expecting something ultra-feminine, sexy, fun, young, and either very floral or fruity smelling.

CLASSIFICATION: spicy, masculine

AGE GROUP: mature

Lancome Magnifique

NOTES: mandarin, saffron essence, cumin, cinnamon, Bulgarian Rose essence, absolute of Rose Mai de Grasse, jasmine, Australian Sandalwood essence, Indian nagarmotha, vetiver.

I didn’t know what to expect from this juice when I sampled it, and held absolutely no expectations. I found, in that state of mind, that what I experienced was not a disappointment.

You can sample Magnifique in September’s edition of Glamour magazine, along with several other new and upcoming fragrances.

CLASSIFICATION: Spicy, woody, earthy

Notorious by Ralph Lauren

NOTES: black currant, pink peppercorn, bergamot, chocolate cosmos, white frost peonies, carnation, patchouli musk, vanilla, iris

Being completely honest here, I would not under any circumstance sample this perfume when I was at the mall on a random outing. Everything about this fragrance points to fragrance that I do not like. However, as it is featured in September’s edition of Glamour magazine, I decided to give it a try, because hey… you just never know.

CLASSIFICATION: Floriental, slightly spicy, slightly sweet

AGE GROUP: Mature

Tommy Hilfiger Tommy Girl Jeans
Tommy Girl Jeans by Tommy Hilfiger

Tommy Girl Jeans by Tommy Hilfiger

NOTES: mandarin, grapefruit, bitter orange, oceanic, herbaceous, chipotle woods

My great-Aunt bought the original Tommy Girl perfume for me not long after its debut in 1996. Although I liked it, and wore it from time to time, I never loved it. However, when shopping for perfumes last weekend, I happened upon a tester and sprayed it, and I find that I like it now much better than I did twelve years ago. As soon as I saw Tommy Girl Jeans for a super low price online, I decided to take the plunge, as it claims to be a fruiter version of the original.

CLASSIFICATION: Oriental/Spicy

AGE GROUP: College/Mature

Incanto Charms

Incanto Dream is one of my top five favorite fragrances, Jax had some pretty positive feedback on Incanto Shine, and neither of us thought that Incanto Heaven was terrible. So of course, I naturally wanted to try Incanto Charms.
